The Centropa Summer Academy 2026 is an international workshop for teachers from Europe, Israel and the USA. The aim is to develop innovative teaching methods for teaching about the Holocaust, Nazism and Jewish history, as well as to establish long-term international networks. Alongside lectures, workshops and guided city tours, encounters with eyewitnesses and experts play a central role. The Theresienstadt Memorial serves as a key learning venue for teaching the history of the Holocaust. To complement this, thematic elective groups will be organised in which specific teaching and learning concepts will be developed.

Die Centropa Sommerakademie 2026 ist ein internationaler Workshop für Lehrende aus Europa, Israel und den USA. Ziel ist es, innovative Lehrmethoden zur Vermittlung von Holocaust, Nationalsozialismus und jüdischer Geschichte zu entwickeln sowie langfristige internationale Netzwerke aufzubauen. Neben Vorträgen, Workshops und Stadtführungen spielen Begegnungen mit Zeitzeug:innen und Expert:innen eine zentrale Rolle. Die Gedenkstätte Theresienstadt bildet einen zentralen Lernort für die Vermittlung der Geschichte des Holocausts. Ergänzend dazu werden thematische Wahlgruppen eingerichtet, in denen konkrete Unterrichts- und Lehrkonzepte ausgearbeitet werden.
