This film project in the Ausseerland region approaches the memories of eyewitnesses with great sensitivity and an awareness that their stories will soon only live on on film. The film is conceived as a quiet dialogue between the past and the present, in which individual memories become a collective memory. The aim is to create a poignant, respectful documentary that both preserves history and encourages reflection. Interviews with eyewitnesses, along with documents and records held in regional and international archives, form the basis for this film project. This exploration of contemporary history is presented in a total of eight short documentaries.

Das Filmprojekt im Ausseerland nähert sich den Erinnerungen von Zeitzeugen mit großer Sensibilität und dem Bewusstsein, dass ihre Geschichten bald nur noch filmisch weiterleben werden. Der Film versteht sich als leiser Dialog zwischen Vergangenheit und Gegenwart, in dem individuelle Erinnerungen zu einem kollektiven Gedächtnis werden. Ziel ist es, ein eindringliches, respektvolles Dokument zu schaffen, das sowohl bewahrt als auch zur Reflexion anregt. Zeitzeugengespräche, Dokumente und Unterlagen, die sich in regionalen und internationalen Archiven befinden, sind die Basis für dieses Filmprojekt. Die zeitgeschichtliche Spurensuche wird in insgesamt 8 Kurzdokumentationen dargestellt.
