The “Stumbling stones for Wiener Neustadt” is a project by the association “fellow being campaign” and the street magazine Eibisch-Zuckerl and several dedicated campaigners and supporters. The municipal council of the town of Wiener Neustadt unanimously resolved to support the campaign on 25 May 2010 and is financing several stones. The very large group of Jewish victims from Wiener Neustadt has been comprehensively documented, primarily through the comprehensive work of Prof. Werner Sulzgruber. There is also contact to a lot of the surviving relatives of the victims. Another aim of the project is to research other groups of victims and to find victims from Wiener Neustadt (political and religious victims, victims of euthanasia, Roma and Sinti, Jehovah’s Witnesses, homosexuals and others). In cooperation with the Association Everyday Publishers, a publication will be created on the project and presented in November 2011. Various authors (including Brigitte Bailer-Galanda, Maximilian Huber, Michael Rosecker, etc.) are writing articles explaining the persecution of the different groups of victims of National Socialism and four walking paths through the town will be created in order to be able to visit the stumbling stones and anti-Fascist memorial (e.g. Serbenhalle concentration camp etc.) in an organized way.

Die "Stolpersteine für Wiener Neustadt" sind ein Projekt des Vereins "Aktion Mitmensch" und der Straßenzeitung Eibisch-Zuckerl und einiger engagierter Aktivisten und Unterstützer. Der Gemeinderat der Stadt Wiener Neustadt hat die Unterstützung der Aktion am 25.5.2010 einstimmig beschlossen und finanziert mehrere Steine. Die sehr große Gruppe jüdischer Opfer aus Wiener Neustadt ist vor allem durch die umfangreichen Arbeiten von Prof. Werner Sulzgruber umfassend dokumentiert. Es bestehen auch viele Kontakte zu noch lebenden Angehörigen der Opfer. Ein Ziel des Projektes ist aber auch, andere Opfergruppen zu recherchieren und Opfer aus Wiener Neustadt ausfindig zu machen (politische und kirchliche Opfer, Euthanasie-Opfer, Roma und Sinti, Zeugen Jehovas, Homosexuelle und andere) Gemeinsam mit dem Verein Alltag Verlag soll jetzt eine Publikation über das Projekt entstehen und im November 2011 präsentiert werden. Unterschiedliche Autoren (u.a. Brigitte Bailer-Galanda, Maximilian Huber, Michael Rosecker, etc.) verfassen Artikel zur Erklärung der Verfolgung der unterschiedlichen Opfergruppen des Nationalsozialismus und vier Spazierwege durch die Stadt werden zusammengestellt, um die gelegten Stolpersteine und antifaschistischen Denkmäler (z.B. KZ-Serbenhalle, etc.) organisiert abgehen zu können.
