The project and lecture series “Diaspora. Exploration of a way of life”, conceived and curated by Dr. Isolde Charim, has been running since 2007. International and Austrian experts in the fields of migration, nationalism, transnationalism, post-colonialism, racism, cultural identities and “modern diaspora” in the age of globalization are often invited to this series. This book contains the contents of the lectures held to date.

Seit dem Jahr 2007 gibt es die Projekt- und Vortragsreihe ''Diaspora. Erkundungen eines Lebensmodells", konzipiert und kuratiert von Frau Dr. Isolde Charim. Zu dieser Reihe werden regelmäßig internationale und österreichische Experten und Expertinnen eingeladen, die sich mit den Themen Migration, Nationalismus, Transnationalismus, Postkolonialismus, Rassismus, kulturelle Identitäten und "moderne Diaspora" im Zeitalter der Globalisierung auseinandersetzen. Das Buch enthält die Ergebnisse der bisherigen Vorträge.
