Jews in Tyrol is a three-volume, richly illustrated overview of the history of Tyrolean Jewry (North, East and South Tyrol) from the first Jewish traces to the immediate present. The three volumes are edited by Thomas Albrich, who put together a team of authors who address in detail the individual historical periods in Tyrol and, in doing so, not only provide for the first time a general overview of Tyrol’s Jewish past but also present numerous new research results and historical photographic material for the first time in book form. The volumes close a gap in the research, as there was previously no overall portrayal of this subject area, and at the same time they offer a broader public an informative and readable overview of a complex topic.

Juden in Tirol ist eine dreibändige, reich bebilderte Gesamtübersicht über die Geschichte des Judentums in ganz Tirol (also Nord-, Ost- und Südtirol) von den ersten jüdischen Spuren bis in die unmittelbare Gegenwart. Herausgegeben werden die drei Bände von Thomas Albrich, der ein AutorInnenteam zusammengestellt hat, das die einzelnen historischen Abschnitte jüdischer Geschichte in Tirol detailliert behandelt und dabei nicht nur erstmals eine Gesamtübersicht über die jüdische Vergangenheit Tirols gibt, sondern auch zahlreiche neue Forschungserkenntnisse und historisches Bildmaterial erstmals in Buchform präsentiert. Die Bände schließen eine bestehende Forschungslücke, denn es gibt bislang keine Gesamtdarstellung und gleichzeitig bieten sie für eine breite Öffentlichkeit einen informativen und lesbaren Überblick über ein komplexes Thema.
