"Dui Roma - two survival artists" is a documentary film which tells the story of Hugo Höllenreiner, a Sinto from Germany, concentration camp survivor and victim of Dr. Josef Mengele. He passes on his experiences to the young student and composer Adrian Gaspar, born in Pojejena, Romania, living in Vienna. He deals with what he has heard on an emotional level and creates his first symphonic work, 35 minutes long with orchestra, choir and bass: the Symphonia Romani – Bari Duk. The title of the film shows that there will be two different portraits of two Roma contrasted with one another, portraits of two survival artists, as today, despite his past, Hugo Höllenreiner is a successful trader and can enjoy his life with friends and Adrian Gaspar, despite coming from a small, inconsequential Romanian village, is today a student at the University for Music and the Performing Arts and aspiring composer. The film is in the language of the Roma and translated into German and other languages for the subtitles. It is the first cinematic film in the Romani language.

“Dui Roma- Zwei Lebenskünstler” ist ein Dokumentarfilm, der die Geschichte Hugo Höllenreiners, einem Sinti aus Deutschland, KZ Überlebendem und Opfer Dr. Josef Mengeles, erzählt. Er gibt seine Erlebnisse und Erfahrungen an den jungen Komponisten und Studenten Adrian Gaspar, geboren in Pojejena, Rumänien, lebend in Wien, weiter. Dieser setzt sich mit dem Gehörten emotional auseinander und es entsteht sein erstes symphonisches, 35 minütiges Werk mit Orchester, Chor und Bass: die Symphonia Romani – Bari Duk. Der Titel des Films zeigt, dass hier zwei unterschiedliche Portraits von zwei Roma gegenübergestellt werden, Portraits von zwei Lebenskünstlern, denn Hugo Höllenreiner ist trotz seiner Vergangenheit heute ein erfolgreicher Händler und kann sein Leben mit Freuden genießen und Adrian Gaspar ist heute obwohl er aus einem kleinen unbedeutendem rumänischen Dorf stammt, Student an der Universität für Musik und darstellenden Kunst Wien und ein aufstrebender Komponist. Der Film wird vollständig in der Sprache der Roma aufgezeichnet und mit deutschen bzw. anderssprachigen Untertiteln übersetzt. Es ist der erste Kinofilm in der Sprache Romani.
