Since 1994 the "Workshop on the history and the history and history of the memory of the Nazi concentration camps” has offered an interdisciplinary forum for young academics dealing with the history and post-history of the Nazi concentration camps. In recent years up to 40 young academics (undergraduates) from all over Europe, Israel and North America took part. The participants are selected via a call for papers/call for participation. The workshop is considered to be a research workshop and is organized by young academics. Current research projects will be discussed in a non-hierarchical atmosphere.

Seit 1994 bietet der „Workshop zur Geschichte und Gedächtnisgeschichte der nationalsozialistischen Konzentrationslager“ ein interdisziplinäres Forum für NachwuchswissenschaftlerInnen, die sich mit Geschichte und Nachgeschichte der NS-Konzentrationslager beschäftigen. In den letzten Jahren nahmen jeweils bis zu 40 junge WisssenschaftlerInnen (ohne abgeschlossene Promotion) aus allen Teilen Europas, Israel und Nordamerika teil. Die TeilnehmerInnen werden jeweils über einen Call for Paper/Call for Participation ausgewählt. Der Workshop versteht sich als Forschungswerkstatt und wird von NachwuchswissenschaftlerInnen organisiert. Unter einer übergreifenden Themenstellung werden laufende Forschungsprojekte in möglichst hierarchiefreier Atmosphäre diskutiert.
