A Letter To The Stars - Teil II. Die Überlebenden, die Nachgeborenen. Schulprojekt

 

In part II of the project, school students and teachers from over 250 schools throughout Austria participated. This time the project was about documenting the life stories of the Austrian Holocaust survivors who are today scattered throughout the world. The exciting thing about the project is the direct contact of the school students with the people affected or their descendents. The high point of the new project was a remembrance ceremony with the Mauthausen Committee at the Mauthausen Memorial.

Im Teil II des Projekts nehmen SchülerInnen und LehrerInnen aus mehr als 250 Schulen in ganz Österreich teil. Diesmal geht es darum, die Lebensgeschichten der österreichischen Holocaust-Überlebenden, die heute über die ganze Welt verstreut leben, zu dokumentieren. Das Spannende an dem Projekt ist der direkte Kontakt der SchülerInnen mit den betroffenen Personen oder deren Nachkommen. Als Höhepunkt des neuen Projekts wird gemeinsam mit dem Mauthausen - Komitee eine Gedenkfeier im KZ-Mauthausen durchgeführt.
