The Salzburg Global Seminar on Holocaust Education and Genocide Prevention Initiative is a long term project developed in conjunction with the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum and the Austrian Foreign Ministry in order to investigate the connection between Holocaust Education and Genocide Prevention.
Following a successful founding conference in 2010 and the planning of meetings in March and June 2011, an intensive, comprehensive international seminar in Salzburg is planned for June 2012, which focuses on the Holocaust, other genocides and human rights as well as educational subjects. During the seminar an aim is to develop a common vocabulary, good practical work and recommendations as to the possibility of linking education to these three subjects in various regional contexts.

Das Salzburg Global Seminar der Holocaust Education and Genocide Prevention Initiative ist ein langfristiges Projekt, das in Zusammenarbeit mit dem United States Holocaust Memorial Museum und dem österreichischen Außenministerium zur Untersuchung der Verbindungen zwischen Holocaust Education and Genocide Prevention entwickelt wurde. Nach einer erfolgreichen Gründungskonferenz im Jahr 2010 und der Planung von Meetings im März und Juni 2011 ist ein intensives, umfassendes, internationales Seminar in Salzburg im Juni 2012 geplant, das seinen Fokus auf den Holocaust, andere Völkermorde und Menschenrechte sowie auf pädagogische Themen legt. Während dieses Seminars geht es darum, ein gemeinsames Vokabular, gute Praktische Arbeit und Empfehlungen über die Möglichkeiten der Verknüpfung von Bildung zu folgenden drei Themen in unterschiedlichen regionalen Kontexten zu entwickeln.
