Call to tender for a general contractor for the renovation of Block A-17 in Auschwitz

The National Fund of the Republic of Austria for Victims of National Socialism is seeking to hire a general contractor to undertake the renovation of Block A-17 on the site of the Auschwitz-Birkenau memorial. The two-stage call to tender for this role is a sub-threshold procurement and has been open since 30 November 2018.

Subject of the call to tender is the renovation, conversion, and conservation of Block A-17, a two-storey building with cellar. This comprises demolition work, renovation of the building shell and statics, interior fittings, conservational work, external construction work, installation of heating, air conditioning and ventilation systems, sanitary facilities and electrics and separate services pertaining to the exhibition’s installation. The procurement procedure will be conducted in German, the contract language is German.
