What Does Modern Remembrance Look Like in the Age of Algorithms and Social Media?

Digital media open up new avenues for teaching history. At the same time, historical facts are distorted, relativised or deliberately called into question there. Antisemitic and anti-Gypsy narratives often appear in coded, indirect forms and are amplified by algorithms.

In line with the guiding principle ‘Remembrance is something you do’, the National Fund invites you to the conference ‘Rethinking Remembrance’ at the Parliament!

Together with experts, we want to explore two key questions:

1. How can we effectively tackle digital historical distortion?
2. How can Holocaust education today be accessible, responsible and forward-looking?

Remembrance work is an active mission for the present and the future. Join us, share your perspective, and let us develop new approaches together to ensure that remembrance remains vibrant, responsible and socially relevant in today’s digital world.
